FOUNDATION OF THE AFRICA PROSECUTORS ASSOCIATION

The constitution is the foundation of the Africa Prosecutors’ Association. Straight through the Preamble of its Constitution, the Africa Prosecutors’ Association acknowledges that:

 •transnational criminal activities such as cross-border fraudulent schemes and trafficking in drugs,
  humans and or human parts
 •precious metals and stones 
 •  arms, stolen vehicles, endangered species and the laundering of proceeds of crime are rapidly
  increasing on the African continent

Going forward and through the Preamble of its Constitution, the Africa Prosecutors’ Association further recognize
the need to:

 •  create speedy and efficient mutual assistance and asset tracking
 • share expertise through common training and the development of best practices
 • provide for adequate and harmonized legislative measures  
 • enhance African initiatives for purposes of co-operation and information sharing
