The APA recognizes the rapidly increasing menace of organized and transnational crime and the urgent need for an effective and coherent response to it.
Through imparting Best Practices,it has set out how prosecutors can work effectively, fairly, impartially and efficiently towards this end.
By standardizing the work of prosecutors in Africa, the Association further enhanced the links that has already been forged between prosecutors.
Through its conferences, the Association will continue to expose prosecutors to other criminal justice systems and will provide prosecutors with the exchange of views.
The APA is determined to use its strength and resources and in particular its network of communications between prosecutors in Africa to ensure co-operation in the fight against crime will be intensified and enhanced and that, both nationally and internationally, the advance of serious, violent and organized crime will be retarded and reversed.
